It's spring, everyone ready for gardening? Great, but watch out for limescale.
Gardens and terraces are repopulating with colorful plants and flowers. Their maintenance is the most complex and delicate part, and one of the main problems remains limescale. So be careful when watering, because tap water isn't always good for plants; in fact, it can cause various problems.
The water we use to water plants often contains an excessive amount of limescale, which can create unpleasant problems.
An example of this is acid-loving plants such as azaleas, camellias, hydrangeas, calla lilies, etc., which prefer neutral or slightly acidic soils and are most affected by very hard, or lime-rich, water. This is iron chlorosis, a typical problem of acid-loving plants, caused by the roots' failure to absorb iron. This trace element is usually present in the soil in sufficient quantities to meet the plant's needs, but due to the high presence of lime, it becomes insoluble and therefore unavailable to the plants. The result is an abnormal yellowing of the leaves due to the failure to synthesize chlorophyll, the pigment that enables photosynthesis and gives leaves their typical green color.
Obviously, some plants are more sensitive than others, but in any case, it is still good practice to water and spray the foliage with water with a low carbonate content to prevent the onset of these problems.
Raindrop is a Dr.Neu product with an innovative formula that, when added to tap water, reduces its hardness, making it similar to rainwater and therefore ideal for watering plants.
The Dr.Neu formula is based on a biological active ingredient that, through a biocatalyst (enzyme), significantly reduces the concentration of carbonates in the water without eliminating other elements, such as calcium and magnesium, which are beneficial for plant health. Traditional ion-exchange water softeners tend to deplete the water of these valuable salts. Raindrop Dr.Neu, however, works completely differently. The descaling process is performed by our special enzyme, which preserves the water's nutrients, which remain available to the plant.
Raindrop Dr.Neu can be easily used for all types of plants and is suitable for any water hardness.
Raindrop Dr.Neu is the product of the month of APRIL 2025. Discover the offer on the Home page.
